Jharkhand man receives electricity bill of Rs. 3,800 crore!
A man in Jharkhand got the shock of his life when he received an electricity bill of Rs. 3,800cr! BR Guha is dumbfounded. "We have a house of three rooms. We use three fans, three tubelights and a TV at times. How can we have such a huge bill?" A complaint has meanwhile been lodged against the Jharkhand Electricity Board. Investigation is underway.
The previous bill amount was just Rs. 1,920
Even the electricity supply was cut off
The electricity supply was cut-off from their home. Guha's daughter Ratne Biswas said "My mother is a sugar patient and my father has (blood) pressure. It was only after our neighbors intervened that we were able to do anything."
