When Arnab Goswami called Sunny Deol Sunny Leone on TV
Counting of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections is underway, and everyone is either glued to their TVs, laptops or smartphones in excitement. However, it seems that some like Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami are a little too excited. During the live coverage of the general elections from their studio, Goswami made a huge goof-up, referring to BJP candidate Sunny Deol as actor Sunny Leone.

Goswami made the faux pas while announcing Deol's lead
In a short clip, which has since been doing the rounds on the Internet, Goswami is seen calling Deol, BJP's candidate from Gurdaspur, Punjab, Sunny Leone while announcing Deol's lead in the constituency. A Freudian slip perhaps? Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Jism 2 actor cheekily addressed Goswami's slip of tongue. Asking about her vote count, Leone wrote on Twitter, "Leading by How many votes ????"

Deol leading by 40,000 votes from Gurdaspur
Deol (62) is leading by 40,000 votes from the Gurdaspur constituency. He is contesting against senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar, and Aam Aadmi Party's Peter Masih for the seat. The seat has long been a BJP stronghold and went to party representative Vinod Khanna in 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2014. Following Khanna's death in 2017, Deol filed his nomination from the seat in April.
