Mild 4.0 quake jolts Delhi, no reports of casualty
Mild tremors measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale were felt in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) this afternoon at around 3:40pm. Reports said the epicenter was in Sonipat of Haryana, around 45km from the national capital, but the impact was felt across several regions in UP and Delhi too. There are no reports of any casualties or damage yet.

Last month, a 6.2 magnitude quake had shaken the capital
On May 9, a 6.2 magnitude hit the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, which jolted Delhi-NCR and Jammu and Kashmir along with Pakistan. Buildings shook in Pakistan and Afghanistan, including in Kabul, Peshawar, Khyber Agency, Kurram Agency and Malakand Agency, as well as in the Indian capital, but no casualty was reported.
