DU 2018: First admission-list for UG courses on July 12
Delhi University (DU) is releasing its first admission list for entrance-based undergraduate courses on July 12. Candidates have to verify their documents at the respective colleges by July 14. The second list will be out on July 18. Under merit-based admissions, it has released four cut-offs till now. A fifth is expected, but most colleges have stopped admissions.
Procedure for selected candidates under admission list
For approval of admission, shortlisted candidates have to visit their college of preference with all documents during 9:30am-1:30pm (morning college) or 4pm-7pm (evening college). After approval, students have to log in to the DU admission portal and complete fee payment online. The deadline for fee payment is till 12pm of the next day after admissions close, i.e. 12pm on July 13.
Schedule for admission lists
The university will release the second, third, fourth and fifth admission lists on July 18, 24, 30 and August 6 respectively, but they are subject to whether seats remain vacant. Admission for B.Sc. Physical Education, Health, Education and Sports will commence on July 18.
Most colleges have closed merit-based admissions
DU announced its fourth cut-offs for merit-based admissions on July 5. Top colleges have closed admissions to various courses: Hindu has closed Political Science, History, Sociology and Philosophy; Ramjas has closed BCom; and JMC has closed Economics, English, Political Science and Mathematics, among others. DU has also released results of its ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) trials. Admissions for the same will commence on July 12.
