Class- 12 Results: Bus-driver's son tops science-stream in government schools
Prince Kumar, the son of DTC bus driver, topped the Science Stream in Delhi government schools in the CBSE Class 12 results, announced on Saturday. Prince scored 97% marks in the exams, and his story will definitely inspire others to work hard and achieve their dreams. He studied at Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya in Dwarka's Sector 10 and credited his teachers for the achievement.
Through tears, Prince says results were unexpected
Prince scored 100 marks in Math, 98 in Chemistry, and 99 in Economics. Through his tears, Prince said, "I am the son of a DTC bus driver. I never expected this...Now I have media people calling me." He said government schools' teachers are well-qualified and facilities are as good as private ones. Prince has cleared JEE(Mains) and hopes to study electronics and communications engineering.

Notably, Prince is not the only one whose story stands out. The daughter of an Assistant Sub-inspector Chitra Kaushik topped the Arts stream in Government schools. She scored 95.6% marks and got 100 in History and 97 in Political Science. Prachi Prakash topped the commerce stream by scoring 96.2%. She got full marks in Economics and 99 in Mathematics.
Delhi government schools perform exceptionally well
This year the performance of Delhi government schools was stupendous. As compared to 112 schools that got 100% results, last year, this time 168 government schools have achieved the feat. The overall pass percentage was 83.01%. The AAP government is definitely doing something right.
