NEET (UG) admit cards to be released on April 15
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on its official website that the admit cards for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2019 [NEET (UG)] will be available on the website from April 15 for downloading. The date of the exam is May 5, and timings for the same will be 2 PM to 5 PM. Results of NEET (UG) are expected by June 5.
Here is how you can download the admit card
In order to download the admit card, follow these steps. 1- Visit the official website, ntaneet.nic.in 2- Click on the 'Download Admit Card' link 3- It will redirect you to another page 4- Log in using the registration number and password 5- Download the admit card and take a print out. No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall without his/her admit card.
Over 15 lakh students to appear for NEET (UG) 2019
After a candidate downloads his/her admit card, a PDF of the same will also be mailed. NTA has received more than 15L applications for NEET (UG) this year from India and abroad. Last year, a total of 13L students appeared in the exam. Moreover, NTA is outsourcing exam centers this year to accommodate applicants as the exam will be conducted in paper-pen based mode.
What is NEET (UG)?
NEET (UG) exam is conducted annually for admission in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in government-approved Indian medical and dental colleges. From this year, NTA will be conducting the exam. Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was responsible. Also, from 2019, students opting for medical courses abroad also have to write NEET (UG).
