This Rajasthan-based doctor provides free medical coaching to poor students
While lakhs of students move out of their homes every year to join reputed coaching centers for medical or engineering preparation, there are many more who cannot afford it. In a step towards helping such students, Dr. Bharat Saran has been giving free medical coaching in Barmer, Rajasthan, for the past seven years to those who come from poor economic background. Here's his story.
Dr. Bharat's coaching institute 'Fifty Villagers' was established in 2012
While talking to ANI, Dr. Bharat told that his institute, Fifty Villagers, was formed on May 25, 2012, to provide coaching to those students who often quit studies due to financial crunch. "It's a free coaching institute for aspiring medical students from government schools in remote villages. We provide free of cost books, pay school fees and provide food to students," he said.

Institute selects 50 meritorious student based on written tests
Each year the institute coaches 50 meritorious students, 25 each from Class XI and XII, selected on the basis of written tests. Dr. Bharat even visits the homes of all the students who clear the entrance tests to verify the condition of their families.
100% of his students have qualified into different medical colleges
Dr. Bharat informs that 140 students have been a part of the institute till date, and 100% of his students have qualified into different medical colleges. "As many as 30 students from our institute have cleared MBBS, five are going to AIIMS, some are in veterinary, and some have gone in the field of Ayurveda," he further said.
The institute has books worth Rs. 90 lakh in library
The institute also has a library with important books worth Rs. 90 lakh. They are either picked from waste stores or donated by the Allen Career Institute of Kota. "I am grateful to donors who gave us financial aid to run this institute," Dr. Bharat said, while adding that "we do self-study here. It is not important to go to coaching centers."
We study here for 11 to 12 hours, says student
Meanwhile, one of the students said, "We study here for 11-12hrs. I gave exam in 2016 and then came here." They are all grateful to Dr. Bharat and want to follow his foot-steps. "My main aim is to become a good man and serve humanity," one of them said, while another said that he would like to help poor people for free.
