Deve Gowda breaks silence on sexual harassment allegations against grandson
What's the story
Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader, HD Deve Gowda, broke his silence on the sexual harassment case involving his grandson, Prajwal Revanna, on Saturday.
In an interview with News18, Gowda insisted that no one implicated in the case should be spared.
However, he stated that the cases against his son, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, who is accused of sexual harassment and kidnapping a woman, were "created."

There are several people connected to these cases: Gowda
He also hinted at the involvement of others without naming them specifically and called for legal action against all involved parties.
"There are several people connected to these sexual abuse cases. I don't want to mention anyone's names. Kumaraswamy (JDS state president) has stated that those involved in this matter should face action, and the affected women should get justice and compensation," he said.

Gowda alleged on Friday that Shivakumar offered him ₹100 crore to defame Kumaraswamy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He stated that Shivakumar sent him ₹5 crore in advance.
"After I refused the offer, police cases were lodged against me and I was arrested," he said.
Arrest
Gowda was arrested last week
Gowda was arrested last week for molestation and sexual harassment.
A 36-year-old woman has filed a sexual harassment case against Gowda, accusing him of molestation under the pretense of helping her sell her property.
Gowda was also accused of leaking videos of Prajwal's alleged sexual abuse.
The sex scandal emerged a day after the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on April 26.
Multiple videos of women being sexually assaulted had surfaced, with some allegedly featuring the 33-year-old politician.
