
Delhi woman carrying loaded pistol arrested at Vaishno Devi shrine
What's the story
A Delhi woman was arrested from the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir for carrying a loaded pistol.
The weapon and six rounds of ammunition were found during a routine security check near the Bhawan on March 14-15.
The license of the firearm had reportedly expired a couple of years ago.
Police have filed an FIR and started an investigation into the matter.

Details of the incident
The woman, identified as Jyoti Gupta, who claimed to be a retired police constable, was intercepted at a checkpoint near the 'Bhawan' (sanctum sanctorum) on the intervening night of March 14-15.
Security personnel discovered she was carrying a loaded pistol and six rounds.
The license for the gun had expired a couple of years ago, officials said.
