Delhi: School-principal shot dead in premises, brother found dead elsewhere
A 45-year-old woman, principal of Rachna Public School in Delhi, was shot dead inside the school building yesterday allegedly over a property dispute. The gunmen attacked Anita Yadav at her home, in the same premises as the school, and also shot at her son, but he escaped unharmed. But hours later, Yadav's brother was found dead at Badsa village in Jhajjar, Haryana.
Crime happened at night, no students in the premises
Yadav, principal of the school at Ghuman Hera, was at her home yesterday night when three men barged in. They discussed property matters and allegedly argued over a six-bigha plot. The men then shot her in the chest. There were no students in the premises at that time. The three men were allegedly led by her husband's business partner Naveen Yadav.
Police examining CCTV footage to identify suspects
Hours later, her brother Jai Kishan was found dead. Police suspect the two cases are related, and are probing if he was abducted before being killed. Meanwhile, the suspects are on the run. Delhi Police is examining CCTV footage and cooperating with their Haryana counterparts.
