Live-in-partner demands Rs. 5cr from woman, threatens to upload nudes
A 34-year-old Chandigarh woman was being harassed by her live-in partner for days now. The 24-year-old man demanded Rs. 5 crore from the woman failing which he threatened to upload her nude pictures on the Internet. The man Manish Linghwal, a Uttarakhand native, was arrested by UT police's cyber cell. Linghwal clicked the obscene pictures when the woman lived with him for few months.
Woman was going through difficult phase when Manish approached her
The woman returned to Chandigarh from the UK, a year ago. Her marriage fell apart and she was stressed when Manish approached her through Facebook. They chatted often and later the woman came to Delhi to live with Manish. She worked at a hotel in the National Capital and eventually the two developed an intimate relationship, Inspector Jasminder Singh of cyber cell said.
When woman wanted to go back, Linghwal beat her brutally
Linghwal, who was unemployed, started demanding money from the woman. When she expressed interest to visit Chandigarh, he brutally thrashed her. He punched and kicked her and she had injuries on one eye. The woman somehow managed to escape his clutches. Then, Langhiwal started making extortion calls to her and demanded money. He even sent pictures to her family members.
