Delhi may witness thunderstorm in the evening or night: MeT
Delhi woke up to a sunny morning today, following the gusty winds coupled with light rains that hit it yesterday. However, according to the Meteorological (MeT) Department, there is a possibility of cloudy conditions prevailing later in the day, which might lead to a thunderstorm in the evening or night. The day temperature will, however, continue to remain above 40 degrees Celsius.
Max temperature expected to be 42 degree Celsius
The minimum temperature today was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius. The humidity level recorded at 8.30 am was 43%. "The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius," said a MeT official. Gusty winds at a speed of up to 71km per hour hit the city last evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 41.8 and 26.1 degree Celsius, respectively.
