Teenager, cousin shot at Delhi pub after argument with DJ
On Sunday night, a 16-year-old boy and his cousin became the unfortunate victims of a shooting at a pub in Delhi's Palam village. The shooting unfolded over an argument about a DJ refusing to play songs. However, the boy and his 23-year-old cousin escaped with their lives. While they got injured in the shooting, they are out of danger and undergoing treatment. Here's more.
A petty disagreement led to the incident
The incident unfolded after Mohit Saini, a relative of the injured boys, came to the pub and insisted that the DJ, Akshay, play some songs of his choice. However, Akshay refused as it was past 10.30pm - the permissible limit for playing loud music in Delhi. Subsequently, a scuffle unfolded, prompting Akshay to tell his employer, Amit Sharma, about the scuffle.
The teenager and his cousin were shot in the abdomen
Once informed about the scuffle, Amit summoned his brothers, who came armed with pistols. Saini, for his part, called the boy and his cousin to confront the armed men. In the confrontation, three bullets were fired, and the teenager and his cousin, Shanky, were shot in the abdomen. Amit and his brother Ashish have been arrested, while a third accused is absconding.
