Delhi AIIMS to get new super-specialty blocks at JPNATC
The AIIMS in Delhi has received permission of the environment ministry to develop super-specialty blocks at Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre (JPNATC). The project, worth Rs. 2,163cr, will be implemented at the JPNATC's Campus-II by the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), and is expected to be completed in four years. The greed nod was based on recommendations of an internal expert panel.
The new center will house various departments
According to the proposal, the project will come up on an area of 60,500 square meters; land acquisition has already been done. Maximum height of the building has been fixed at 38m. It will comprise five blocks with 184 beds, and will accommodate various departments like Extension of Trauma, Spine, ENT, Digestive Diseases, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders, BMT and Kidney Transplant, among others.
