Delhi: 9 hospitalized after consuming mid-day meal at Anganwadi center
At least eight children and a staffer of an Anganwadi center in Delhi's Uttam Nagar area were hospitalized in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital when they complained of vomiting and lost consciousness after consuming mid-day meal today, the police said. Rice and boiled gram, which was supplied by a group based in Uttam Nagar's Deepak Vihar, were served to the Anganwadi's children and pregnant women.
Who runs the Anganwadi center?
The Anganwadi center was being run for last 11 years by one Anita (47), who is a resident of Hastal Vihar in Dwarka's Uttam Nagar, police said, adding the center has 46 children and 13 pregnant women.
