'Dead' Bihar man found enjoying momos by alleged murderer
In a truly unusual case, a man from Bihar who was believed to be dead by his family resurfaced four months later in Noida. What's even more interesting is that he was discovered enjoying momos, a popular street food in the Delhi NCR. This 'dead man alive' Nishant Kumar hails from the Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Here's more to this extraordinary news.
Nishant went missing on January 31
Nishant disappeared under mysterious circumstances on January 31, 2023. His father, Sachidanand Singh, filed a complaint at the Sultanganj Police Station, accusing Nishant's brother-in-law, Ravi Shankar Singh, and father-in-law, Naveen Singh, of torturing and abducting him. However, it turned out that Ravi was the one who found Nishant in Noida, solving the mystery and bringing a surprising end to the case.
Nishant was discovered disguised as a beggar
Ravi was at a momos shop in Noida's sector 50 when he saw a shopkeeper yelling at a hungry beggar. The beggar had a long messy beard and worn-out clothes, and he was asking for food. Ravi felt sorry for him and decided to buy him momos. As Ravi asked the beggar his name, the mystery of Nishant's disappearance started to unravel.
Ravi, the alleged murderer, informed the police immediately
The beggar introduced himself as Nishant Kumar, son of Sachidananda Singh, a resident of Dhruvganj, Naugachia. Without wasting a second, Ravi immediately called the police, and they brought Nishant to the Sector 13 Police Station. The Delhi Police informed the Sultanganj police station about the updates. How Nishant reached Delhi is still unclear, so he will be interviewed in court for more information.
Ravi now hopes to get justice from the court
Ravi, on the other hand, felt a sense of relief. He mentioned that his elder uncle had tragically passed away due to the severe charges made by Nishant's family. "Now there is a hope that we will get justice from the court and whoever is guilty in this case, the court will take legal action," Ravi Shankar was quoted as saying.
This is not the first instance of mistaken death
In another case of mistaken death, a woman in Uttar Pradesh was declared dead by her family seven years ago. However, later she was discovered alive and married. Shockingly, a man named Vishnu had been serving a seven-year jail sentence for her alleged murder. According to the police, the woman had eloped with her lover, gotten married, and subsequently relocated to Hathras district.
