UPSC CSE-2018 marks released; Topper Kanishak Kataria secures 1,121 marks
The UPSC has released the marks of the candidates who were recommended appointment under the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 on its official website upsc.gov.in. Topper Kanishak Kataria who secured AIR-1 has scored 1,121 marks in the UPSC CSE followed by second topper Akshat Jain who secured 1,080 marks and third topper Junaid Ahmad who got 1,077 marks. Here's how much other toppers scored.
Fourth topper Shreyans Kumat scored 1,071 marks in UPSC CSE
Meanwhile, fourth topper Shreyans Kumat scored 1,071 marks followed by Srushti Jayant Deshmukh with 1,068 marks and Shubham Gupta with 1,067 marks. Seventh rank holder Karnati Varun Reddy scored 1,067 marks, while Vaishali Singh (AIR-8) got 1,066 marks. Both Gunjan Dwivedi (AIR-9) and Tanmay Vashistha Sharma (AIR-10) secured 1,064 marks. As many as 759 candidates had cleared the UPSC CSE 2018.
1,994 candidates cleared Mains, qualifying for Personality Test interview
While the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination was held in June 2018, the Main (written) examination was conducted in September-October last year. Interviews for the Personality Test were held in February-March this year. Around 5 lakh candidates had appeared for Prelims. Of these, nearly 10,500 candidates qualified for the Mains. However, only 1,994 candidates cleared the Main exam, qualifying for the Personality Test interviews.
