Coronavirus: India's tally reaches 10.91 million with 11K+ new cases

India on Sunday reported more than 11,000 fresh coronavirus infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 10.91 million cases.
Meanwhile, at least 80 more patients died in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,55,609.
Kerala, which is among the worst-hit Indian states, continued to report a high daily positivity rate in coronavirus infections.

Health Ministry confirms 1,09,04,940 COVID-19 cases, 1,55,642 deaths
Till Sunday morning, the Health Ministry had reported 1,09,04,940 COVID-19 cases, including 1,55,642 deaths, 1,37,567 active cases, and 1,06,11,731 recoveries.
According to data compiled from state and union territory statistics, India reported 1,09,16,168 cases and 1,55,785 deaths till Sunday night. Over 10.61 million have recovered.
Meanwhile, 82,63,858 people were vaccinated in India till Sunday morning.

4.6K new cases in Kerala; Maharashtra reports 4.1K fresh infections
Kerala reported 4,612 new cases, marking a daily positivity rate of 7.4% with 61,843 tests. The Centre has asked states to limit the positivity rate under 5%.
4,092 more people tested positive in Maharashtra, marking a daily positivity rate of 8.3% with 48,782 tests.
In Chhattisgarh, daily infections stood at 169. The tally has climbed to 3,09,099, including 3,772 deaths and 3,02,069 recoveries.
Key updates
Delhi reports 150 more cases; 188 fresh infections in Bengal
150 more people tested positive in Delhi. The daily positivity rate stood at 0.26% with 56,902 tests conducted on Sunday.
West Bengal reported a spike of 190 new cases, pushing the state's tally to 5,72,595. 10,232 patients have died in the state while 5,58,277 have recovered.
Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh reported 470, 414, 93, and 55 new cases respectively.
