In India, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the most premier technical institutes that offer the best engineering and technology-related education in the country. The IITs offer quality technical education and also attract top companies during the campus placement sessions, grabbing some attractive placement packages too. Here are the placement stats of some of the new IITs in the country.
Over 90 companies participated in IIT Hyderabad placements
IIT Hyderabad is one of the new IITs set up by the government in 2008. It is among the top IITs. In IIT Hyderabad's Phase 1 of Placements 2018-19, as many as 92 companies participated and a total of 418 students registered for the same. While the highest package was Rs. 35 lakh per annum and the average package of Rs. 11 LPA.
About the placement scenario at IIT Indore
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Indore is another relatively new IIT in the country. As per the IIT's 2018 Placement Report, 89 students had participated in the placement process. There were 51 recruiters of which 21 were first-time recruiters. As many as 101 job offers were made by the recruiters. The average salary was Rs. 16.06 lakh per annum.
Placement statistics of IIT Patna
In the first phase of IIT Patna's 2018-2019 placement process, 114 students were able to secure job placements. A total of 136 job offers were made. The highest salary package offered was Rs. 1.8cr per annum while the average package was Rs. 6.3 LPA. In 2018, the highest salary package was Rs. 49.8 LPA while the average salary package was Rs. 11.47 LPA.
IIT Ropar and its placement report
IIT Ropar is another relatively new institute that has been maintaining a good placement record. As per its 2018 Placement Report, the IIT concluded the placement season with a 90.2% placement rate. Overall, 82 students had registered for the placements and 74 of them got placed. The average package offered in that placement season was Rs. 11.77 LPA.
