Bihar: As molesters strip 14-year-old girl, onlookers make video
In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl was groped and molesters tried ripping her clothes off in Bihar's Jehanabad district. Instead of helping the girl, onlookers recorded the incident and the clip went viral on social media on Saturday night. On the basis of the video, the Jehnabad police arrested three, all under the age of 18, and detained one.
Girl begs to be left alone, molesters take turns
Reportedly, the video shows the girl pleading the boys to let her go. The video showed at least seven boys taking turns to molest the girl, who later fell on the floor. Inspector-General (Patna Zone) Nayyar Hasnain Khan said the girl was returning after meeting a boy, which was objected by the molesters. They allegedly attacked her with an intention to rape her.
SIT formed to nab the accused
"Faces of two people have been matched with people in the video and other two were making the clip. Other four to five people have been named by them," Nayyar said. A SIT was formed to probe the case.
Motorcycle serves major evidence, helps police catch guilty
The arrested were identified as Amar Kumar, Deepak Kumar, and Sunil Kumar, and were detained from Bharthua. A motorcycle whose number was visible in the video served as a major evidence in the case. The police are unsure about the place where the incident happened. A case was registered at Town police station under POCSO act. A search operation to nab other accused is underway.
