What's the story
The results of the Common Law Admission Test 2018 (CLAT) will be announced today, bringing much relief to law aspirants.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled against cancellation of this year's examination after a few students faced technical glitches in the online paper.
The apex court directed the Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) to declare results on Thursday, May 31, as scheduled.

Power-cuts and other glitches that slowed students down
Around 54,000 students sat for the examination on May 13 conducted by NUALS, Kochi. Many students from over 200 exam centers complained of issues like power-cuts, failure in logins and slow biometric verification. Arguing this delayed them, students approached courts seeking cancellation of test.

Students demand cancellation of exam, Supreme Court turns down plea
The Supreme Court bench comprising judges L Nageswara Rao and M M Shantanagoudar turned down the plea of aggrieved students.
The bench observed the examination should be cancelled only in case of large-scale irregularities.
However, it directed the redressal committee to file a report by June 6, after taking into account upset students' complaints.

To check results, aspirants can visit www.clat.ac.in. On clicking the results icon of the website, you will be asked to enter required details like name and roll number.
On clicking submit, the results will be displayed on the screen. You can download the results too.
Clearing CLAT means students can get admitted to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs at 19 national law universities.
