Class-X boy kills aunt, tries making it look like suicide
In a shocking incident, a Class X student killed his aunt in her Aminjikarai house in Tamil Nadu on Friday and tried to make it look like suicide by slitting her wrist. The 15-year-old accused was angry at the victim identified as Tamilselvi for not approving of his relationship with her daughter. The accused first smothered her with a teddy bear, then slit wrist.
Victim didn't allow her daughter to attend accused birthday party
Tamilselvi lived with her husband, daughter, who studied in Class VIII and four-year-old son. A few days ago the accused invited Tamilselvi's daughter for his birthday party. The girl wasn't allowed to go, and when the accused called her to check, Tamilselvi picked the phone and abused him. Furious over this, the boy plotted his revenge, and on fateful day killed the 35-year-old woman.
CCTV footage studied by police showed accused entering house
On Friday, when the husband Shankar returned home he found Tamilselvi lying on the floor, with blood emanating from her left wrist. She was taken to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Shankar lodged a complaint and police went through CCTV footage of the locality. It showed the teen entering the house at 11 AM, and leaving almost 25 minutes later.
After probe, teen confesses to crime
The police apprehended the teen after his aunt's funeral. He said he went to the house to borrow a hammer. On further investigation, he confessed to the crime. He accepted he was furious at Tamilselvi. An officer said he slit her throat to ensure she died. "He said he believed it would like his aunt committed suicide," the officer added.
