Put knowledge capital to help poor, needy: CJI Dipak Misra
Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra Sunday advised the graduating law students to put their knowledge capital and skills to help the poor and needy. Delivering his presidential address at the 26th annual convocation of National Law School of India University in Bengaluru, he also asked them not to be cowed down by the trials and tribulations of time.
Constructive approach, positive mindset to contribute to the legal system
"It must be borne in mind that the knowledge capital, skills, and ability which cannot be used to help the poor and the needy will not bring contentment and peace within," Justice Misra said in his address. The need of the hour was a constructive approach and positive mindset to contribute to the legal system, the CJI said.
CJI asks students to concentrate on facts, law, reasoning
The fresh law graduates should be prepared to have sustained faith in the mobility of the profession and the aristocracy of the intellect to make a difference, Dipak Misra said. The Chief Justice had also urged the graduating law students to concentrate on facts, law, and reasoning while maintaining proper ethics rather than engaging in aggressive advocacy.

"As you join the bar, you must be responsible members of the bar by taking constructive steps no matter howsoever small, for each small effort counts a lot towards the cumulative whole," CJI Misra told the students.
