Over 200 CISF personnel at Kempegowda alleged harassment by seniors
Over 200 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) have moved court seeking improvements in allegedly harsh working conditions. Among others, staff complained of poor food, non-payment of dues, and importantly, harassment by seniors. Earlier, they tried raising complaints in their departments and writing to the Prime Minister's Office, but to no avail.
344 personnel killed themselves in three years
The treatment of Central Armed Police Forces personnel, 15% of which are from CISF, has often been questioned. 344 have committed suicide in three years; one shot himself at KIA in January. Out of 25 cases of murder of colleagues, 13 were from CISF.
