Haryana: 5-year-old raped, murdered, wooden stick found in private parts

In yet another shocking crime, a five-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered in Haryana's Hisar. A wooden stick was found inserted in her vagina, reports say.
"An FIR has been registered and SIT has been formed. No person has been arrested yet," said Jitender Kumar, Hisar DSP.
Residents of Uklana village have shut their shops and blocked roads in protest.

What happened?
According to India Today, the child was abducted from her house yesterday night, after her parents had fallen asleep. They realized she was missing in the morning.
They then found her battered body near their residence.
Bruises were found on her nose, neck, shoulders and waist.
16cm of a 24cm long stick was found inside her, that had damaged her uterus and intestines.

The postmortem has confirmed rape and torture. Investigators have not ruled out gangrape. The victim's family has refused to cremate her body till the culprit/s are arrested.
