Chhattisgarh: Man electrocutes wife's private-parts suspecting affair, kills her
A man, who serves as a cook in Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF), was taken into custody for allegedly killing his wife by electrocuting her, after he suspected she was having an extra-marital affair. The accused, identified as 33-year-old Suresh Miri, used live wire on his 28-year-old wife Laxmi's private parts, after thrashing her brutally. He was arrested on his in-laws' complaint.

The murder reportedly happened in Bhatapara area's LIG colony of Baloda Bazar district on Tuesday evening. PR Jagat, ASI of Sargaon police outpost, who was privy to the probe said Suresh confessed to the crime. On Tuesday afternoon, he got into a heated argument with her over her alleged infidelity. Later, when she was washing clothes in the bathroom, Suresh beat her brutally.
Suresh Miri electrocuted wife's private parts and watched her die
After Laxmi became unconscious, Suresh Miri used a live wire to electrocute her private parts and watched her die. Later, he called his in-laws and informed them his wife died due to illness. Hiring a van, he took the body to his native village Khajri. But his in-laws suspected something is wrong when they saw marks on Laxmi's body and confronted Miri.
Police take Suresh Miri into custody, seal house
The in-laws contacted police and they took Suresh Miri into custody. Police officials in the know said the house where the murder happened has been sealed. Miri is a cook with the 6th battalion of the CAF in Dantewada district.
