Chennai airport on high alert after bomb threat call
Officials at the Chennai International airport were put on high alert on Friday following a bomb threat call to an airline, hours before the arrival of the Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to the Tamil Nadu capital. According to a report, officials said that the bomb threat call was made to an airline operating flights between Chennai and Hyderabad, and security measures have been put in place. At least twenty flights are scheduled through the day between the two cities, the officials added. Naidu will be inaugurating the Gana Saraswathi Smt. DK Pattammal centenary celebrations tomorrow in Chennai.
