CBSE declared the results for its 2018-19 Class-12 Board Examinations on 2 May. Class-12 board exams are crucial as they play an important role in shaping the student's career and future. While every student aims to score above 90%, many fall short of their goal despite proper preparation. If your Class-12 score is below 80%, here are some options you can go for.
Pick a course and college based on Class 12 score
Every student wants to pick a course and college of their choice after Class-12. However, some top colleges demand higher Class-12 scores and set high cut-offs for admission to popular courses. Those who have scored below 80% have more options than they think. They should take admission in the best course available and opt for colleges that offer the course in their cut-off bracket.
Science students can go for engineering or medical entrances
Science stream passionate about engineering or medicine can go for national-level entrances. They can appear for JEE (required minimum aggregate for PCM is 75%), NEET (minimum aggregate for PCB is 60%), or AIIMS-MBBS Entrance (minimum 60% score required in PCB subjects and English), etc. or state-level entrance tests. If they aren't interested in engineering they can opt for undergraduate courses in science or math.
