CBSE launches podcast 'Shiksha Vani', starts Board 2019 evaluation
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) launched its podcast app, 'Shiksha Vani' on Monday for all the concerned stakeholders. It will be used to send out major announcements made by the board and is expected to be the quickest way to information. The first official circular on the app confirmed the beginning of the evaluation process of the 2019 Board Examinations. Here is more.
Information on app will be available only to concerned people
According to CBSE, oral transmission of information has better implementation and reception. Therefore, the medium of podcast was chosen. The information on the app will be available only to the person it may concern. Like, the current circular on the policies and guidelines for Board Exam 2019 answer sheets and preparation of CBSE Results 2019 on the app is only accessible to examiners.
CBSE has issued strict guidelines for teachers on evaluation duty
The app is currently available only for Android users and not for iPhone users. Apart from this digital initiative, CBSE has asked teachers, appointed for evaluating answer sheets of board exams, to give in 8 hours every day without fail, in order to get the results out sooner. Schools have also been asked to ensure that teachers are available for evaluation process.
Last year, CBSE had announced Class 12 results in May
This move probably comes after the Delhi High Court instructed CBSE last year to announce Class 12 results and complete re-evaluation requests before the start of Delhi University's admission process, the first cut-off of which came around June 16 last year. This is why the board examinations began from February 15 this year. Last year, CBSE had announced Class 12 results on May 26.
Here is how you can download 'Shiksha Vani'

There are separate sections for everybody including, parents and students, teachers, and principals, and one can easily access the available audio/video content. All the officials can enter their registered mobile numbers to access the information concerning them. The app will enhance CBSE's information sharing network.
