CBSE Class X, XII marksheets now available on DigiLocker
Central Board of Secondary Education has now made certificates of Classes X and XII available on DigiLocker for students to download. All students who appeared for the board exams in or after 2004 can access their documents. But, for examinations conducted in or before 2016, they will have to pay a fee. CBSE declared the results for Classes XII and X on May 2 and 6, respectively.
Register on DigiLocker using either phone number or Aadhaar number
The various documents that the students can access and download via the DigiLocker include marksheets, migration certificates, and other educational documents. In order to access the above document(s), one can register on the portal using either a phone number or Aadhaar number. Any document downloaded from DigiLocker will be accepted as the original document by a college for undergraduate admission.
What is DigiLocker?
DigiLocker is a Government of India initiative to move towards paperless governance. As per the official website, "DigiLocker is a platform for issuance and verification of documents & certificates in a digital way." One can also upload the scanned documents and also sign them digitally.
Follow these steps to register on DigiLocker, get access
In order to register on the portal, follow the steps below: 1- Visit the official website of DigiLocker, digilocker.gov.in 2- Click on the 'Sign Up' tab 3- Enter your mobile number 4- You will receive account credentials on the registered number 5- Now enter your Aadhaar number and CBSE roll number After completing the above steps, you will able to access your documents.
CBSE has released printed documents, will be given via school
Meanwhile, the printed copies of all the documents are being released by CBSE and the students will have to collect them from their respective schools. Moreover, the Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) documents of ICSE and ISC are also available on DigiLocker.
