CBSE hit by Hindi paper leak claims, Board denies reports
Even as the CBSE battles a damning PR fiasco, it has been hit by allegations of yet another leak, this time of the Class 12 Hindi (Elective) paper. But it has claimed that the copies making the round on social media, especially WhatsApp, were "either of old year or a fake question paper." The exam for this subject is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
However, CBSE has done a U-turn before
Reports of the Class-12 Economics and Class-10 Math question papers being leaked had emerged hours before the papers commenced. Urging students not to panic, CBSE had denied the reports at first. But it announced a re-test for these two subjects on March 28. Economics will be held on April 25. A Math re-exam might be held for Delhi-NCR and Haryana, depending on the probe.
No re-examination for Class-12 Accountancy though, first to be hit
Earlier, the CBSE had also been hit by reports of Class 12 Accountancy paper leak, but they had denied it. A paper matching Set-II, according to Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, had reportedly been circulated on WhatsApp a day before the exam on March 15. CBSE called an urgent meeting, but blamed miscreants for "disturb(ing) the sanctity of examinations."
CBSE posts "leaked" question paper publicly
CBSE issued a clarification about the Hindi paper after students protested outside their office in Delhi, claiming to have the "leaked" paper. The CBSE chairperson dismissed the reports as "a mischief." In its statement, it also released copies of the paper doing the rounds.
