NO, CBSE is not conducting Class-XII Physics, Economics papers again
The rumors on social media platforms about the CBSE re-conducting Class XII Economics and Physics papers turned out to be fake. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has requested all stakeholders and the general public to cooperate with the Board and not to pay attention to such news. Class XII Physics and Economics exams were conducted on March 5 and March 27, respectively.
Message circulated on WhatsApp claims papers would be re-conducted
CBSE released a notice on April 2 saying, "This is brought to the notice of Stakeholders that the news of re-conduct of Physics and Economics of Class XII is fake." A message being circulated on WhatsApp dated March 28 and signed by former Controller of Examinations, KK Choudhury, claimed exams would be re-conducted. Last week, fake news about CBSE releasing results in June surfaced.
Cooperate with board in smooth, fair conduct of examinations: CBSE
The official statement signed by the Controller of Examination, Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, read, "All Stakeholders and public is requested not to give any heed to the rumors like the above said one and cooperate with the CBSE in the smooth and fair conduct of examinations."
Board has not yet confirmed any date for announcing results
The 2019 CBSE Class X board examinations came to an end last week, and reports about the result dates started flooding in. Media reports which said that the results will be out in the first week of June, quoting CBSE, turned out to be fake. According to a report by The Indian Express, the Board has not confirmed any date yet.
Result dates to be announced after completion of evaluation process
"The Board will stick to the result date as mentioned in the official release. The results will be declared by May," a CBSE official said. The evaluation process began in March and the Board is determined to get the results out in record time. "CBSE can announce a result date once the evaluation process, including other processes, get completed," the CBSE official added.
