CBSE Class X results: Verification, re-evaluation and other details
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in a circular released on Tuesday, has laid out the details for the verification of marks, re-evaluation of evaluated answer books, and obtaining the photocopy of answer books for Class X students. CBSE had declared the results for Class X on Monday, and will now begin the verification process for interested candidates. Here are the details.
Fees for marks verification will be Rs. 500/subject
As per the circular, the application link for verification of marks for Class X will open today and will close on May 14 at 5PM. The fees for the same is Rs. 500/subject. The Board will update the status of the marks on its website and will send a letter to the student via Speed Post in case there is a change in marks.
Requests for obtaining photocopy can be made on May 27
Further, the link for obtaining photocopy of answer sheets will open on May 27 and will close the next day at 5PM. The fees for obtaining photocopy is Rs. 500/subject. As per the official notice, "Only those candidates who have applied for verification of Marks Online in manner as prescribed above will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book(s)."
Students can challenge marks obtained via re-evaluation
The Board will release the requested photocopy online later, and the students will be able to access it from their login panel. Notably, in case a student wishes to challenge the marks given to them in any question, they can apply for re-evaluation of marks online. The re-evaluation link will open on May 31 and will close the next day at 5PM.
Submit application for re-valuation with reasoning, states CBSE circular
As per the official notice, the fees for the re-evaluation process will be Rs. 100/question and re-evaluation is only applicable for the theory portion. "The applicant will have to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned which would be available on the website alongwith the question paper. Thereafter, candidates can submit application for re-valuation in the required question(s) with reasoning," it stated.
Any appeal or review against re-evaluation will not be entertained
The students should note that no appeal can be made after the re-evaluation is done. Meanwhile, only the candidates who had applied for obtaining a photocopy will be eligible to apply for the re-evaluation process.
