CBSE announces Class-10 results, 13 students take top spot
Days after Class 12 results, CBSE released results for Class 10 on Monday. According to data, 18.19 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams which started on February 21 and ended on March 29. Students can check their results on the official website of CBSE. Interestingly, 13 students took the top spot by scoring 499 marks out of 500. Here are the details.
A step by step guide of how to check results
Students can check their results by visiting cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in. Once you reach the website, you will see a banner reading 'Class 10 Result 2019'. You will be required to enter details like your admit card number, roll number, etc. Press submit after filling the details. Your results will be displayed on the screen. You can also take a print out for future reference.

In case you are unable to visit the official website of CBSE, you can also check your results on other websites like examresults.in, indiaresults.com and results.gov.in. The pass percentage of Class 10 exams was 91.1%. Trivandrum region topped this list with the pass percentage of 99.85%, followed by Chennai (99%), and Ajmer (95.89%). Notably, 24 students scored 498/500 and 58 got 497 marks.
After son, Smriti Irani's daughter made her proud
Union Minister Smriti Irani, who also held HRD cabinet for a while, took to Twitter to express the joy that her daughter Zoe scored 82% marks. "Proud that inspite of challenges she has done well. Way to go Zoe (sic)," Irani wrote. Earlier, when Class 12 results were declared, Irani "gloated" as her son Zohr Irani scored 91% in the best four subjects.
CBSE announced results in record time
This year, CBSE set a record by declaring the results of Class 10 after 55 days of the examination. The results for Class 12 were announced just 38 days after the examinations concluded. To recall, last year, CBSE drew ire from students and teachers after the Mathematics question paper for Class 10 was leaked and exams were re-conducted. Meanwhile, an investigation was launched as well.
