CBSE declares Class 10 results: All details here
The CBSE has announced results of its 2018 Class 10 examinations. Students can check their marks on the official board websites. The exams had started on March 5 and ended on April 4. More than 16.38L students had registered. This is the first time after eight years that students are being awarded percentage. The results of Class 12 were declared three days ago.
Four toppers secure 499/500 marks each, girls outshine boys again
Four students - Prakhar Mittal (Gurgaon), Rimzhim Agarwal (Bijnor), Nandini Garg (Shamli) and Sreelakshmi G (Cochin) - have topped the exam with 499 marks each. The overall pass percentage is 86.70%: while 88.67% girls passed, boys fared marginally less at 85.32%. As many as 1.31L students scored above 90%, and 27,476 scored more than 95%.

Thiruvananthapuram region performed the best, JNVs took the cake
Thiruvananthapuram region fared the best with a pass percentage of 99.60%, followed by Chennai at 97.37% and Ajmer at 91.86%. In Delhi, 78.62% candidates passed. Among schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas topped with a pass percentage of 97.31%. Kendriya Vidyalayas followed close behind with 95.96%, and private schools were at the third with 89.49%. 63.97% students of government schools and 98.32% of foreign schools passed.
CBSE to keep post-result counseling lines open till June 9
The CBSE will keep its post-result counseling lines open till June 9. Sixty-nine experts, including principals, special educators, psychologists and trained counselors will be available to talk to students and address doubts. Students can contact the team by dialing 1800118004 (toll-free).
