CBSE releases date sheets for Class 10, 12 compartment exams
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheets for compartment examinations for Classes 10 and 12. CBSE has scheduled the exams from 2-10 July; the complete schedule can be downloaded from the board's official website, cbse.nic.in While Class-10 compartment exams will be held between 2-10 July, Class-12 compartment exams for all subjects will be held on 2 July. The date sheet for CBSE Class-10 compartment exams is as follows: July 2: Science Theory and Science without practical July 3: Hindustani Music Vocal, English Comm., and English Language & Literature July 5: Mathematics July 6: Home Science and Sanskrit July 9: All second languages (Hindi courses-A/B, Urdu courses-A/B, etc.) Hindustani Music Mel.Ins, Painting, Foundation of IT, Intro to Tourism July 10: Social Science
Board will not entertain any queries regarding the result declaration
As per the date sheet notice (Class 10 and Class 12), the timing of the exam will remain the same for all subjects i.e. 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, the students are advised to reach the center before time as the answer books will be distributed between 10:00-10:15 AM. Meanwhile, the board said it will not entertain any queries regarding the result declaration.
CBSE provides three attempts to clear a failed subject
CBSE provides three attempts to students to clear a compartment exam. For instance, if a student fails in a subject in the Boards 2019, he/she will be given a chance to retake the exam in July/August 2019, followed by March/April 2020 and lastly, in July/August 2020. If a candidate fails in all the attempts or does not appear, they will be considered "failed".
Over 31 lakh students registered for 2019 CBSE board exams
A total of 31,14,831 candidates registered for the CBSE board examinations this year, including 18,19,077 boys and 12,95,754 girls. Moreover, 28 transgender students had also applied for the CBSE exams in 2019. This year, 40,493 students (20,077 males, 20,219 females) and 197 students with special needs appeared in centers abroad. CBSE had conducted the Class 10 and 12 board examinations from February to April.
