Ghaziabad: BSF constable fatally shoots colleague in camp
A BSF constable, Ajit, today allegedly shot dead his batchmate Jagpreet from his INSAS rifle at about 6 am at a temporary camp on the Ghaziabad's Link Road area. Both the jawans belong to 95th Battalion of Border Guarding Force based in Gurugram and were deployed as part of a unit to aid the Ghaziabad Police in law and order duties, officials said.
BSF has ordered inquiry to know exact reason of incident
The exact reason behind the alleged fratricide incident is being ascertained even as the Border Security Force (BSF) has ordered an inquiry into the incident. BSF officials and police have reached the spot and a probe is on, officials said. It is suspected that the two jawans, who joined the Paramilitary Force in 2012, had an argument following which Ajit pulled the trigger.
