Delhi: British MP denied entry into India on arrival
British Parliamentarian Lord Alexander Carlile was yesterday denied entry into India on his arrival in New Delhi for not having an appropriate Indian visa, Ministry of External Affairs said. MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said Carlile's intended activity in India was incompatible with the purpose of his visit as mentioned in his visa application. Hence, his entry into India upon arrival was denied, he added.
Carlile didn't have appropriate Indian visa
Kumar said Carlile arrived in New Delhi yesterday without having obtained the appropriate Indian visa. "It was, therefore, decided to deny him entry into India upon arrival," he added.
