ICSE, ISC results declared. Here's how you can check scores
A day after CBSE declared Class 10 results, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or CISCE announced results for Class 12 and Class 10. The results for ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) are available on the board's website: cisce.org. Apart from checking the results, students can also take a print out for future reference. Here are more details.
A step by step guide on how to check results
Once you visit the aforementioned website, click on the link which reads 'Results 2019'. You will be asked to choose the course option between ICSE and ISC 2019. Thereafter, you will be asked to enter your unique ID, index number and CAPTCHA as shown on screen. After you submit the details, your results will be displayed on the screen.
Toppers of Class 12 scored 100% marks
Two students namely Mumbai's Juhi Rupesh Kajaria and Punjab's Manhar Bansal scored 99.60% to top Class 10. Meanwhile, Dewang Kumar Agarwal (Kolkata) and Vibha Swaminathan (Bengaluru) topped Class 12 by scoring 100%. As far as regions are concerned, the pass percentage in abroad region was 100%. The pass percentage in Western, Southern, Eastern and Northern regions was 99.76%, 99.37%, 98.06%, and 97.87% respectively.
Students can apply for recheck till May 13
Notably, the ISC exams began on February 4 and ended on March 25. Meanwhile, the ICSE exam began on February 22 and concluded on March 25. Students can apply for a recheck from May 7 to May 13.
The board brought down the passing percentage
CISCE brought an important change in its passing percentage this year. According to new rules, ICSE students need to score 33% marks to pass the examination. Earlier the required percentage was 35%. Similarly, the passing percentage of ISC exam was also brought down from 40% to 35%. Chief Executive of CISCE said girls outshone boys this year, once again.
