Beer, soft-drink bottles found in private parts of raped woman
The Bhopal police found a body of a 28-year-old woman from an apartment on Thursday. The woman, who was living with another man, was raped before she was murdered. A post-mortem report revealed that beer and soft-drink bottles were inserted in the woman's private parts. The horrific incident happened a few days ago as the woman's body was partially decomposed.
Foul smell emanating from house alerted neighbors
The residents of Pragati Nagar locality in Bhopal alerted the police after a foul smell started spreading from the house. The police broke the one-room accommodation and found the naked body. Initial investigation identified the woman as a resident of Icchawar town in Sehore district. The woman shifted to the locality a few months ago, with the man.
Marital status of man and woman needs to be established
The neighbors thought the man, who is said to be a laborer, and the victim were married, but the police are yet to establish the marital status. The house in which both were putting up belonged to a man from Saudi Arabia. Ashoka Garden town inspector Sunil Shrivastava said the couple hardly interacted with neighbors, and came from a humble background.
Supposed husband goes missing, police launch operation
"The post-mortem report established rape and insertion of two bottles in her private parts. The man who is supposed to be the woman's husband is missing. We are investigating the matter and are trying to nab the man," said Sunil Shrivastava.
