Book Indane LPG cylinder on Facebook and Twitter! Here's how
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has allowed consumers to book LGP cylinders via SMS, phone or online, but now it has expanded the service to even Facebook and Twitter! Only customers of Indane, IOC's LPG brand, will be able to use the service. It will make things easier for the millions of Indians who use Facebook and Twitter. Here's how to use the new facility.
Registering and booking cylinder on Facebook
Visit the IOC's official Facebook page (@IndianOilCorpLimited) and click on 'Book Now'; the button is available on the top part. It will ask for permission to take your public details. Click 'Yes'. On the next page, you will see your name and email ID have been retrieved from Facebook automatically. Enter LPG ID and 'Submit'. Confirm the details and click on 'Book now' again.
Registering and booking on Twitter
On Twitter, write your 17-digit LPG ID and registered email ID and tweet to @indanerefill to register yourself. Once registered, you can simply tweet "#refill" to the same ID.
How to find your 17-digit LPG ID
Visit www.indane.co.in, click on 'How do I' on the left panel and then 'Find 17 Digit LPG ID'. Enter either Aadhaar number, mobile number registered with IOC, or consumer number and name of your distributor under 'Quick Search'. For 'Normal Search', enter state, district, distributor and consumer number. Enter the captcha and click on 'Proceed'. Your LPG ID will be displayed on the screen.
