Bodies of 14 infants, wrapped in plastic-bags, found in Kolkata
What's the story
In a shocking incident, bodies of as many as 14 newborns in various stages of decomposition, wrapped in plastic bags, were found at a vacant land in southern Kolkata's Haridebpur area on Sunday.
The bodies were found in the grassy land on Raja Rammohan Roy Sarani under the Haridebpur Police station area when laborers were cleaning it, Kolkata Police's senior officer said.

Details
No clue where the bodies have come from: Police
Some of the newborns' bodies appeared to be in a semi-decomposed state, while a few were fully decomposed.
"We have no clue where from they (bodies) have come. Going by circumstantial evidences, it seems that they were dumped there as the land was lying abandoned," the officer said.
Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee and Commissioner of Police Rajeev Kumar reached the spot on receiving information.
