#HimToo: Accused of sexual-harassment, BJP's Tajinder Bagga reveals his side
Tajinder Pal Bagga, the spokesperson of BJP's Delhi unit, has released proofs to support his case as he faces sexual harassment charges. He was accused of misconduct by Bengaluru-based Dr. Jwala Gurunath. But in the legal suit filed by her, he was given a clean chit. He won the case but when his name was dragged again, Bagga released a video to defend himself.
Bagga was accused of harassment, case filed under SC/ST Act
The case dates back to 2015 when Dr. Gurunath alleged Bagga harassed her after their meeting in Bengaluru. Notably, she filed a case under the SC/ST Act and was represented by an influential lawyer in the court. But the Karnataka Court quashed the case against him. Now in wake of #MeToo, when his name cropped up again, he thought to 'break silence'.
Sharing conversations with her, Bagga asked many questions
In the video, Bagga said Dr. Gurunath spoke about harassment in September 2015, but continued speaking to him till December. Sharing WhatsApp conversations with her, he asked if a woman would continue to speak with her harasser. He also highlighted how she said it would be better if they met in Bengaluru and not Delhi, and raised questions about her behavior.
It all started with a Twitter battle
Bagga then revealed the real battle was between Dr. Gurunath and Nupur Sharma, the editor of OpIndia. He claimed Nupur equating Dr. Gurunath to Ankit Lal of the AAP miffed her, and the latter went on an abuse spree. She prayed that Nupur delivers an abnormal baby, and cursed her. Dr. Gurunath also alleged Nupur's followers trolled her on the micro-blogging site.

Bagga offered to arrange a conference call, he reveals
Further, Bagga revealed Dr. Gurunath had asked for his help in fighting with Nupur. When he refused to help, she warned him of consequences. He also inserted a conversation with her in which he tried reasoning with her. He told her he could set a conference call between them and added there's no point in fighting on social media. But his pleas weren't heard.
Meanwhile, Dr. Gurunath reacted on Bagga's video,
Bagga says there are political motives behind dragging his name
In the video, Bagga said he had the proofs all along but didn't take the social media route as he didn't want to malign a woman's reputation. He also hinted at political motives and said though the court declared him innocent, his name is being dragged to derail the pure #MeToo movement. In conclusion, he asked everyone to believe his truth.
