BJP demands PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti's arrest for 'instigating' Kashmiris
Lashing out at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for allegedly instigating people to defy a ban on vehicular movement on the national highway connecting Jammu with Srinagar, the BJP yesterday demanded that she be arrested for trying to create law and order problem. Speaking to the reporters, the chief spokesperson of J&K BJP, Sunil Sethi said Mufti wants to create "chaos for pity political gains".
'FIR should be registered against former CM Mehbooba Mufti'
Sethi said "perhaps" that's what Mufti desires as she may get more votes by instigating public. "FIR should be registered against former CM Mehbooba Mufti for statements to instigate the public to defy the vehicular ban on the highway on Wednesdays and Sundays," he added.
Politics in J&K has gone to the 'lowest ebb': Sethi
"We demand the arrest of Mehbooba Mufti for instigating public to break law," Sethi said. He noted that politics in the state has gone to the "lowest ebb" when a former CM has no regard for law. Restriction on vehicular traffic of civilians on these two days in a week is a thought-out strategy to stop recurrence of Pulwama-like incidents, he said.
