Bihar: Jailed man's mother forced to give massage to cop
A shameful episode occurred in Bihar's Saharsa district after a police officer was caught on camera receiving a massage from a woman inside a police station. The video of the incident went viral on social media much to the embarrassment of the state's police department. The woman reportedly went to Saharsa's Darhar police station to request the officer for her son's release from jail.
What action followed the atrocious incident?
The police officer seen in the viral video has been identified as sub-inspector Shashi Bhushan Sinha. Saharsa's Superintendent of Police, Lipi Singh, has already launched an investigation into the incident and suspended the offending police officer, according to Hindustan Times. An initial investigation report was submitted by SDPO Santosh Kumar and further action against Sinha is expected after a detailed report is presented.
What does the video show?
The video featuring Sinha and the jailed man's mother is said to have been shot a month ago by a constable. The clip shows Sinha—Darhar outpost's former in-charge—seated in his chamber and receiving a massage from the woman. He is seen in a semi-naked state and with only a towel over his stomach, while another lady can be seen seated in front of them.
Woman was poor, unable to pay for bail
In the video, the accused officer can also be heard informing a lawyer on the phone that the woman is poor but he has somehow arranged for Rs. 10,000 for her son's bail. Sinha is also heard telling the lawyer the woman is unable to pay him. He also informs the lawyer that he would send two women to him with the necessary paperwork.

Another Bihar cop suspended in separate incident
In a separate incident, the Station House Officer of Mufassil police station in Bihar's Nawada district was suspended for allegedly demanding bribes from truck drivers. The accused officer, named Lal Bihari Paswan, has been suspended by Nawada's Superintendent of Police DS Savlaram. Action against Paswan was taken after an audio recording of Paswan and a truck driver went viral on social media on Wednesday.
