Bihar: Youth asked to lick spittle, suspecting he stole mobile-phone
One person was arrested for allegedly assaulting a youth and making him lick spittle in Bihar's Nalanda district, suspecting that he had stolen a mobile phone, police said yesterday. The arrest was made after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The arrested person was one of the seven accused named in the FIR lodged Saturday, SP Sudhir Kumar Porkia said.
Victim asked to lick spittle or be thrown in water
The video was shot on August 30 at Siranwan village. Some youths were seen beating up the victim with a cane on the charge of theft of a mobile phone. The accused men, residents of Purai village, also asked the victim to touch their feet and lick their spittle failing which he would be thrown in a nearby water body, police sources said.
