Bhopal man strangles wife, burns and buries body, suspecting affair
Nadeem Uddin, a 26-year-old man from Bhopal, has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife on suspicion that she was having an affair. The Nishatpura police station sub-inspector MD Ahirwar reported that Uddin strangled his wife to death on Friday (May 21). Following the murder, he transported her body in his auto-rickshaw to a nearby dump yard, where he burned and buried it. Uddin has been charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 (murder), among others.
Victim's disappearance leads to husband's arrest
The 22-year-old victim, who had been residing with her parents in Murli Nagar due to marital issues, vanished on May 21. Her disappearance led her parents to lodge a police complaint. Based on the complaint, the Nishatpura police launched an inquiry and arrested the man, who admitted to killing his wife during questioning, according to an officer.
Murder motive and method revealed by the accused
On the day she disappeared, he had asked her to meet him at Karond crossing. When they met, the accused took her mobile phone, and after seeing a video on it, he became enraged. Then, in a fit of rage, he allegedly strangled her to death. He then transported the body approximately two km away in his autorickshaw, burned it using kerosene, and buried it at a waste dump. The police have recovered some unburned body parts of the victim.
