BJP calls Bharat Bandh an attempt to spread rumor, confusion
BJP today dubbed the 'Bharat Bandh' call given by the Congress and several other parties as an attempt to spread rumor and confusion among the masses and said people will puncture the grand alliance balloon. BJP leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, said the Congress has been a history-sheeter on the issue of price rise whenever it was in power and is now shedding crocodile tears.
Naqvi calls the Congress a cruise of corruption
Accusing the Congress of trying to create a negative atmosphere in the country since Modi came to power, Naqvi wondered if some "invisible hand" gave "supari" (contract) to destroy India's progress. "The Congress is a cruise of corruption and whichever party joins it will sink with it," he said, adding this is the reason several opposition parties haven't participated in the protest.
Naqvi says Modi-govt brought down inflation to 4% from 11%
"When PM Modi took over in May 2014 inflation hovered around 11% and he has now brought it down to around 4% with his policies and honest work," Naqvi said. "Through violence and anarchy the Congress trying to spread rumor and confusion among the masses," Naqvi said. The 'Bharat Bandh' was called to protest against the rise in prices of petrol and diesel.
