Bengaluru: Taj West End luxury hotel receives bomb threat
A bomb threat was sent via email to the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru on Saturday morning. Reportedly, the email was sent by unidentified individuals. After the threat, local police and a bomb squad were quickly sent to the scene to carry out an investigation. The luxury hotel, located in Race Course area, is known for hosting high-profile individuals, including politicians and cricketers.
Police investigation reveals hoax threat at Taj West End
Shekar HT, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Central Bengaluru, confirmed the bomb threat to ANI. However, after a thorough inspection by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and Anti-Sabotage Check (ASC) team, it was determined that the email was a hoax. This incident comes hot on the heels of a similar threat received by the Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai's Worli area on September 26.

In the Worli incident, an unidentified caller claimed to have planted a bomb inside the dargah and threatened to detonate it. However, after an extensive search by bomb squad teams, no suspicious items were found on the mosque premises. The Tardeo Police Station has registered a case against the unknown caller and initiated further investigation into this matter.
