Bengaluru scooterist shatters car window with child inside
What's the story
A three-year-old child was injured after a scooterist attacked a car she was traveling in with her parents in Bengaluru last week.
The assault allegedly began after the scooterist, identified as Jagadish, failed to overtake the hatchback driven by Akhil Sabu, an IT professional from Kerala.
CCTV footage captured Jagadish smashing his helmet into the car's window on Sarjapur main road.
Confrontation
Incident unfolds on Sarjapur Main Road
The footage shows Jagadish intercepting the Hyundai i10 in which Sabu's family was traveling. When Sabu tried to swerve away, Jagadish responded by smashing his helmet into the car's window.
As Sabu started moving again, Jagadish struck another window with his helmet, leading to a confrontation between the two men.
In his X threat, Sabu also alleged that the scooterist abused him, saying, "'Oh, you are not from Karnataka, you bastard' along with other offensive words."
Allegations
Sabu first flagged the incident on May 17
He further alleged that Jagadish reached the Varthur Police Station before them and was already in the station house officer's (SHO) office when they arrived.
On meeting them, he boasted about his high contacts in the department, saying, "You can't touch my hair."
Sabu first flagged the incident on May 17, urging the city police for help.
